André Fagundes is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Law, holds a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law, and serves as a Researcher at the Institute for Legal Research at the Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra (IJ/FDUC). He is a Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Law and Religion at UniEvangélica and a Researcher at the Brazilian Center for Studies in Law and Religion (CEDIRE).
He is a Reviewer and Editorial Board member for the Brazilian Journal of Law and Religion (ReBraDiR) and the International Journal for Religious Freedom (IJRF). He is also an allied jurist with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF International).
In 2019, he was a guest lecturer for the Advanced Program in Human Rights and Religious Freedom, hosted by the International Institute for Legal Research and Studies in Fundamental Civil Liberties (FCL Law) and held at Regent’s Park College of University of Oxford.
In 2024, he had the honor of presenting at the G20 Interfaith Forum and PaRD on Religion and Sustainable Development, held in Brasília.
André is the author of numerous articles published in newspapers and academic journals. With extensive experience as a speaker, he has delivered over 45 presentations in Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
