Dr. Esther Schirrmacher is Doctor in Philosophy in Islamic Studies by the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and holds a M.A. in Asian Studies (profile Islamic Studies/Arabic Studies) and Oriental Languages (Arabic/Persian/Turkish) by the same university. Was Project Coordinator (Mapping of international research cooperations) of the Department of International Affairs, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn, Germany and Visiting Research Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr. Schirrmacher is the Islamic Relations Coordinator of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), Lecturer of Islam (M.A. programs of theology), Board Member of the Institute of Islamic Studies of the German, Austrian and Swiss Alliance (IfI).
