The IIRF is pleased to invite you to participate in a series of webinars on current religious freedom issues. On May 28, the IIRF held its second webinar of the year, this time launching the new issue of the International Journal for Religious Freedom Vol. 17 No. 1 (2014): Ideology, theology and practicality.

The webinar was moderated by the Executive Editor of the International Journal for Religious Freedom, Prof. Dr. Janet Epp Buckingham and counted with the participation of three of the authors of the articles.

Speakers:

  • M.A. Timo Schmitz. PhD student at Trier University, with the article “A path toward religious freedom in the DPRK. Is it possible?”
  • Prof. Dr. Paul S. Rowe. Trinity Western University / Director IIRF – Vancouver, with the article “Faith, hope, and power. Corporatism, ideology, and religious freedom in China from Mao to Xi”.
  • Dr. Werner Nicolaas Nel. Senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Johannesburg, with the article “Respecting individual religious autonomy at secular public universities in South Africa”.
