Program Officer / Research Associate: Marcela Bordón Lugo

Marcela Bordón was born in Asunción, Paraguay, and currently resides in Santiago, Chile. She is a lawyer from the National University of Asunción and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science with a major in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

She has professional experience advising and representing civil society organizations in international forums, such as the General Assembly of the Organization of American States. She also has experience in administrative matters, having served as Legal Advisor in the Archbishopric of Asunción, Paraguay.

As a researcher, Marcela has provided consultancy services regarding citizen participation, human rights, the rights of persons with disabilities, and especially on religious freedom.
