Editorial Assistant of the IJRF: Michaele Kemp

Michaele Kemp is an Editorial Assistant for the IJRF, with a developing focus at the intersection of law, public policy, and interdisciplinary research. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Free State in South Africa, in completion of which she achieved a distinction for her undergraduate mini-dissertation analysing the tensions of secularisation and religious freedom within the context of legal scholarship.

With a dedication to human rights and public-facing scholarship, her research interests center around religious freedom and AI governance from a comparative policy perspective. Currently, she works as a compliance officer in the commercial financial services sector in South Africa.
