Prof. Michele Van Eck is Managing Editor of the IJRF.
Michele van Eck is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa (non-practicing), holding a BCom (Law), LLB, LLM, LLD, BTh, BTh (Hons), a postgraduate diploma in the Interpretation and Drafting of Contracts, and a diploma in Corporate Law.
She has over a decade of practical experience as a lawyer and legal adviser. In 2019 she joined academia. During her tenure at the University of Johannesburg (2019–2024), she served as Head of Department of Private Law and received both the Vice Chancellor’s Most Promising Young Teacher Award (2020) and the Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award (2023). She is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of the Witwatersrand.
