Joint Submission to the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief

This joint submission provides the Special Rapporteur with verified, incident-level evidence on violence affecting freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) in Nigeria between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2025, together with emerging data for Q4 2025 and early 2026. It is organised around four messages: (1) the public narrative about Nigeria needs correcting; (2) the ORFA dataset offers an objective evidentiary base; (3) the Nigerian State is failing its duty to protect; and (4) we propose concrete recommendations for the country visit and subsequent report.
