FTH Giessen offers research awards

The Giessen School of Theology (FTH) is inviting submissions for its Research Award for Religious Freedom and Christian Persecution.

The Giessen School of Theology (FTH) is inviting submissions for its Research Award for Religious Freedom and Christian Persecution. This award aims to honor outstanding commitment and academic excellence in projects that promote religious freedom and support persecuted Christians.

Theses and projects can be submitted (in German or English) in one of three categories:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award (worth 2,500 euros) – for a person who has shown special commitment to religious freedom and/or persecuted Christians over a long period of time
  • Science/Journalist/Projects Funding Award (1,000 euros) – for outstanding academic work, journalistic articles, or projects
  • Young Talent Award (500 euros) – for contributions by students or junior researchers (e.g., bachelor’s and master’s theses)

Submissions should be e-mailed by September 30 to religionsfreiheit@fthgiessen.de and should include (1) a summary description of the contribution or project (maximum 2 pages), (2) the full text of the paper or reviews if applicable, and (3) a curriculum vitae.
