The IIRF’s Cape Town office will cosponsor the second Conference on Religious Freedom in South Africa, scheduled for January 29–30, 2026 at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa.
The conference will address the role of law in the protection of religious interests, including an examination of the tensions and intersections between religious freedom and the law
National and international submissions on topics relevant to the protection and advancement of religious freedom in South Africa are welcome.
Scholars interested in presenting a paper should send a proposal of 300 to 400 words to defreitas@ufs.ac.za and h.vancoller@ru.ac.za no later than September 30.
